Study procedure for parents of children aged 5-19
Depending on your child’s age (5–7 years or older), the study design differs. Please read below to see which design applies to you.

Why participate?
Study design
- Complete online questionnaires every three years
- Participation continues until your child is around 18 years old
- Total of five questionnaire sessions
How long does it take?
- Each session: about 60 minutes
- Sessions are spaced three years apart over the full study period
What are the questions about?
- Your child’s thoughts and behavior in everyday situations
- Questions about you and your experiences as a parent
- When your child turns 11, they will be invited to complete their own questionnaires
Who can participate?
- Parents of children aged 5–7 years
- Children will join directly once they reach 11 years of age
How does it work?
- Participate from home
- After registration, you will receive an email with a link to the online questionnaires
- Complete each session at a time that is convenient for you
Your choice
- Participation for both you and your child is voluntary
- You can withdraw at any time
- We aim to make this a positive and comfortable experience for your family

- Complete two online questionnaire sessions
- First session: shortly after registration
- Second session: three years later
How long does it take?
- Each session: about 60 minutes
- Total time: about 120 minutes over three years
What are the questions about?
- Your child’s thoughts and behavior in everyday situations
- Questions about you and your experiences as a parent
Who can participate?
- Parents of children aged 8–19 years
- If your child is 11 years or older at the first session, or turns 12 during the three-year interval, they will be invited to complete their own questionnaires
- Your child’s participation is independent of yours — you can participate even if your child chooses not to
